A time to Remember

Join us this Sunday as we remember those who risked and gave their lives for our freedom. Join us also in remembering all the families affected by war both past and present as freedoms continue to be stolen and there are those still fighting for justice and peace.

We will be walking down to the cenotaph in Hunter River so please wear warm clothing. We will gather at Central Queens United Church for regular worship time (10.30am) and proceed as a group down to the cenotaph.

We will be joined by our special guest Ben Rogers who will share his stories and experiences of World War II.

Halloween At Rosewood

Dress up in your Halloween best and join us this Sunday morning for our annual Halloween party at Rosewood Residence. We will be departing on foot from Central Queens United Church this Sunday, October 27, and heading down the street to share music and snacks with the residence of Rosewood.

Over the past few years we have had some fantastic costumes join us like the Whoopie cushion, Thing 1 and Thing 2, pirates, princesses and even a super hero or two. This year I hear will the best one yet with peanut butter, jam and bacon! We’re set.

Hope to see you all Sunday morning!

Noah’s Arck

Join us this Sunday as we begin a seafaring adventure with Noah and his family on a crowded ark. God asked Noah to build an ark on dry land and build an ark Noah did! He loaded up his family and a pair of each animal and waited for the rain. And boy did it rain, 40 days and 40 nights stuck on a boat with smelly animals… not your typical modern day cruise. The waiting came next… they waited and waited and waited until finally the water went down. And then Noah saw the second arc, the rainbow, and God made a promise.

Find out all about it at Central Queens United Church as we explore Noah’s story and the famous arcks!

This Sunday we will be participating in the annual Central Queens United Church Sunday School Terry Fox Walk!

We will leave from the church at 10.30am this Sunday (September 15th). We will be crossing the road at Central Queens Elementary School and walking along the Confederation Trail.

We do this walk to raise awareness for cancer and to show our support for those whose lives have been touched by cancer.

All are welcome to join us!

Just like singing in the shower ;)

Have a talent for singing and/or love to sing? If you answered yes (or no), come and belt it out in Youth Choir every second week at Central Queens United Church!
