What’s going on this Sunday!

The Elementary Classes will finish their Creation rotations. Grades K-2 will be in Cooking. Grades 3-4 will be in Art. Grades 5-6 will be in Bible Skills and Games.

The Youth Class will be serving a meal at the Upper Room next Sunday, February 1st.

Coming up: We will be watching The Lorax over the following 2 weeks as a wrap up to our Creation rotation. Part one will be shown Sunday February 1 and part 2 will be shown Sunday February 8. If you would like to bring a snack for the movies that would be acceptable.

On February 15 we will be having our annual Winter Carnival. Please bring sleds, warm clothes and a snack to share.

Coming up this Sunday:

Reminder to Teachers and Parents there will be a Sunday School meeting following service this Sunday morning.

Elementary Classes will be studying Creation this Sunday morning. Grades K-2 will be in Art. Grades 3-4 will be in Bible Skills. Grades 5-6 will be in Science/Video.

Coming up Sunday February 1 the youth will be serving a meal at the Upper Room Kitchen.

Here’s what’s happening this Sunday:

Elementary Classes will continue learning about creation. Grades K-2 will be in Bible Skills and games. Grades 3-4 will be in Science. Grades 5-6 will be in cooking.
Teachers and Parents We will be having a Sunday school meeting after church next Sunday January 18.
Reminder: Youth will be serving a meal at the Upper Room Sunday February 1.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday.
This Sunday the elementary students will be starting their Creation rotations. Grades K-2 will be doing science, grades 3-4 will be doing cooking and grades 5-6 will be doing Art.
Coming up on February 1st the youth class will be serving a meal at the Upper Room.

Sunday December 14, 2014

First and foremost, thank you to everyone who participated in and attended the White Gift service. Especially all the actors and actresses, who did an amazing job!!

Elementary classes this Sunday we will be back to our usual rotations, studying John the Baptist. Kindergarten-Grade 2 will be in art, Grade 3-4 will be in Bible skills and games, and Grade 5-6 will be in Science.

Youth class will be studying the Christmas story and traditions.

White Gift Sunday

This Sunday, December 7, we will be holding our White Gift Service at 6pm. The Sunday School students have been working hard on the service and will practice Sunday morning during regular church time.

White gifts may be in the form of a toy or household item that may be needed by a low income family and/or a monetary donation which will be used to help a family in need in the community.

Everyone is welcome to attend and there will be costumes for all children.

What’s going on this week:

We will continue to practice for our White Gift service. The White Gift service is to be held at 6pm on Sunday December 7. We hope all the Sunday school students will be involved.

The White Gift service is a chance for the Sunday school to help those in need in the community. We collect an offering which is donated to a low income family in the community. We also collect gifts for children of all ages as well as parents. The gifts are taken to the Catholic Family Services Bureau in Charlottetown and distributed to families in need. Some examples of gifts would be toys, books, crayons, children’s clothes, or toiletries for families.

It is that Christmas time of year again ~ We celebrate the birth of Christ!

All classes will begin preparing for our White Gift Service this Sunday morning.

Please come and join in our preparations as there are many things to discuss and do.

The White Gift Service will be held on Sunday December 7 at 6pm.

Here’s what we have on for this week:

Elementary Classes will begin looking at the story of Jesus and John the Baptist. Grades K-2 will be in Cooking. Grades 3-4 will be in Art. Grades 5-6 will be in Bible Skills and Games.

Youth Class will be starting a new project this week.

Coming Up:
          October 26 we will be celebrating Halloween at Rosewood. Bring costumes and a snack to share.
          November 2 Ages 12 and up will be serving a meal at the Upper Room.

Help Wanted – Annual Fall Roast Beef Supper @ CQUC

Help from the grade 5 and up Sunday School students is needed on Saturday November 8th, 2014 at the Annual Fall Roast Beef Supper which is being held at Central Queens United Church. There will be 3 seatings beginning at 4pm.

Please contact Jennifer, Bernie or Cecil if you are interested in helping to clear and set tables.
